KuBE Materials Solutions specializes in the formulation and synthesis of physically and chemically crosslinked fibrous polymer hydrogels with a broad range of mechanical properties. The nanocellulose is used as cellulose nanocrystals (CNCs) or cellulose nanofibers (CNFs). Many of our products are injectable hydrogels that have shear-thinning and self-healing properties arising from transient and reversible crosslinking. They flow under applied shear stress and rapidly recover their viscosity when shear is ceased.
We are synthesizing nanocellulose-derived/polymer hydrogels with controllable stiffness. The gels have a filamentous structure, similar to the architecture of collagen gels. Gel is composed of a network of fibers, similar to the architecture of collagen in the in vivo tumor extracellular matrix.
These are versatile hydrogels, which are used for cell culture, including growth of multicellular spheroids and organoids.
